The 2012 SCCA road rally season is underway. First events were at the Kansas Rally weekend held in the Kansas City area in November. 40 cars competed on the tours over the weekend. These were beginner oriented events and highly recommended if you want to get started in road rally. Also a great place to go if you have a hankering for BBQ.
Next up was the Yucatan Safari out of Winona, MN. Winter conditions held on to make it an interesting event, especially in the icy band around I90. This event was designed for those that like twisty gravel roads with lots of elevation changes.
The next LOL SCCA event in the area will be the March Muddy waters on Sunday March 25th. It starts in Prescott, WI. More info here.
For those that like winter, Lake Superior region (UP) presents the Keweenaw Winter Rally on Feb 25th starting in Houghton, MI. I don't have a link for that one yet.
LOL is planning a rally weekend on May 4-5. More on that when details are known.
The Alfa club will be presenting The Lucas Flamethrower on March 10th. This another event for lovers of twisty gravel roads.
September 15-16 has two National rallies, Octoberally and Badger Trails. Both start in La Crosse, WI and offer some of the best rally roads you will find anywhere in the USA.
